Great Lakes Christian Schools

Brooks Avenue Church of Christ is committed to supporting Christian schools and colleges that provide faith-based education in the US, Canada and all around the world. We believe these institutions play an essential role in shaping students both academically and spiritually. Through prayer, financial support, and active encouragement of students and educators, our church shares in their mission where Christ-centered learning can flourish. We seek to build meaningful relationships with these schools, celebrating their work and investing in the next generation of Christian leaders.

Two such institutions are the Great Lakes Bible College and the Great Lakes Christian High School:

Great Lakes Bible College (GLBC) is a Bible-focused post-secondary institution based in Waterloo, Ontario, serving students in Canada and the northern United States with a mission to prepare them for effective Christian service, spiritual leadership, and ministry. Its programs include certificates, diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees in areas such as Biblical studies, religious education, and theology, all designed to deepen students’ understanding of Scripture and equip them for life in the church and world. GLBC emphasizes serious Bible study, spiritual formation, and practical ministry training, encouraging lifelong growth in faith, personal maturity, and Christian commitment. Great Lakes Christian High School (GLCHS) is a Christ-centered day and residential school in Beamsville, Ontario, dedicated to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. With its motto “Seek, Serve, Become,” the school encourages students to pursue truth, serve others, and develop into young people of character and faith. Through small class sizes, caring teachers, and a supportive community, students are known and encouraged as individuals. Faith is woven into everyday life through chapel, Bible classes, and shared experiences, helping students deepen their relationship with Christ while preparing for life beyond high school.
