Why We Give

God is generous and calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us stewardship over shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances. Jesus says in Luke 12:34: “…where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Online Recurring Gift

Recurring donations provide a consistent and reliable stream of funds allowing us to plan for the future and manage the budget effectively by having predictable funding throughout the year. Recurring giving offers a convenient way to support Brooks Avenue without having to remember to donate repeatedly. Click here to set up a recurring gift.

Online One-Time Gift

One-time donations are also important in helping Brooks Avenue meet its budgetary obligations. We know that not everyone can set up recurring giving due to circumstances such as fluctuating income, financial hardship or unforeseen events. Your One-Time gift is valuable

Cash or Check Giving

On Sunday morning during worship we have a time set aside for contribution. Checks (made out to Brooks Avenue Church of Christ) or cash can be placed in one of the plates as they are passed during that time. If you would like to be able to deduct cash donations on your taxes, place the cash in one of the envelopes in the back of the pew and write your name on it before placing it in the plate. You can also mail a check to the address listed at the bottom of this page.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. As a result, donors may avoid being pushed into higher income tax brackets and prevent phaseouts of other tax deductions, though there are some other limitations.
